Mar 20 - At Sea

DONNA KAY PHILLIPS : The anticipation of completing the "long way home" from my original home in South Florida on the East Coast of the United States to my chosen home of Monterey Bay on the West Coast of the United States is almost heart-stopping. I thought it would be cathartic... I thought I would feel the circle complete...

I can't leave this ship in San Francisco tomorrow as much as I can't leave my heart here so we are accepting the staff's invitation to stay onboard 2 more days for the Travel Agent's Cruise to nowhere just to prolong the inevitable I guess. This is not a regular 7 day cruise where you get into the rythym, this is just borrowed time until we figure out our next move.

Sandy can check me on this, but I believe radio renegades who broadcasted from moving vessels back in the day to avoid FCC rules and regs were part of a movement called "Pirate Radio." Well here's the a nu version of Pirate Radio. Since Internet Radio is global and not under any nation's rules or regs, it seems fitting that we could run our stations from the Splendor or anywhere in the world for that matter.

That said, look for more mobile broadcasts from the First Women of Internet Radio as we set our sights on new distant horizons and shake off the hipocracy of creating lifestyle music formats from behind a desk on land. How can we truly convey the jazz and chillout lifestyle unless we live it. Thanks to our family of friends here at Carnival, we now know that we can. Bon Voyage - dkp
